Dr. Johnson arrived in academics after working for many years in the technology industry. Responsibilities included leadership and management roles, strategic planning, portfolio management, program and project management, six sigma process improvements, and product development. Her education began with an undergraduate degree in the sciences, an MPA with emphasis on management and organizational development, MS in human resources and education, followed by a PhD degree in strategic planning. She is a project management professional (PMP), Six Sigma Blackbelt, and is certified as an Assisted Living Administrator. Dr. Johnson taught early in her career at UNL and has recently joined UNO as an adjunct professor.
