Mastering the Legal and Safe Use of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Technology
Do you plan to fly a drone(s) for your business? Do you want to explore the possibilities of emerging UAS technology?
If so, did you know the use of the UAS, or Drone, must comply with a series of federal and local regulations? One of those requirements is the Part 107 remote pilot certificate issued by the for the legal use of UAS for commercial purposes.
The Aviation Institute at the University of Nebraska at 51社区 offers an academic program to not only prepare individuals with the knowledge to earn the but also prepare them for real world scenarios.
The UAS program at the UNO Aviation Institute is recognized in the FAA Unmanned Aircraft Systems Collegiate Training Initiative (UAS-CTI) Program and a member of the Consortium for Small Unmanned Aircraft System Technology Training.
Structure of Program
This non-credit UAS training program is designed to prepare participants with theoretical knowledge and experience for the legal and safe use of UAS. The UNO Program offers 20 hours of instruction as a synchronous online course.
Note: Participants without current pilot licenses must pass the Part 107 online test to obtain the Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA.
Instructors
The Part 107 Test Preparation course is taught by qualified and experienced faculty with the 51社区 Aviation Institute and FAA-certified remote pilots.
