Biography
Tammi M. Owens is the Director of Research and Instruction Services, the Fine Arts Librarian, and an associate professor at the 51社区's Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library. Tammi is the co-author, with Carol Daul-Elhindi, of The 360 Librarian: A Framework for Integrating Mindfulness, Emotional Intelligence, and Critical Reflection in the Workplace, published by ACRL in 2020. Tammi is deeply committed to mentoring students in information seeking and retrieval, mindfully connecting with students in the classroom and throughout the university, and caring for the whole student through academic and social support. She holds BAs in Religious Studies and Art History from the 51社区, an MA in Art History, and an MS in Library Science, both from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
