Giving back to the community and the region
Service Learning is a method of teaching that combines classroom instruction with meaningful community service. This form of learning emphasizes critical thinking and personal reflection while encouraging a heightened sense of community, civic engagement, and personal responsibility.

ILUNO's innovative service-learning class has partnered with Beveridge Middle School, Nebraska Neighbors, the 51社区 Food Bank, and additional organizations throughout 51社区 and surrounding areas.

Volunteering In 51社区 Schools
International students can learn about the U.S. educational system and share their cultures with local schoolchildren by volunteering at grade schools in 51社区. Together these students become "Global Citizens," as they learn more about one another.
Nebraska Neighbors
International students give intercultural presentations at K-12 schools, tour local museums and cultural centers, and learn about the local economy and government.
51社区 Food Bank
Students help to sort through food donations received and package them into bags for needy families in 51社区.
