Bio
Angie Benda is a research associate at NCITE. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in industrial and organizational (I-O) psychology at the University of Nebraska at 51社区. Prior to being a full-time research associate, she was a graduate research assistant at NCITE for two years.
Benda’s experience is rooted in understanding team processes, particularly how trust is developed, maintained, and repaired. She has applied her knowledge throughout her internships at the Lindsay Corporation, Gallup, and, most recently, the Institute of Defense Analyses (IDA) in Alexandria, Virginia. Her research and applied experiences help to bridge the gap between science and practice, providing perspective on interdisciplinary efforts and insights for stakeholders that maximize impact.
She has published a book chapter, “Understanding trust in virtual work teams,” in the Handbook of Virtual Work. She was also featured in TIP: The Industrial-Organizational Psychologist highlighting her work from her summer with IDA.
