KVNO to Live Broadcast Carnegie Hall Performance

OMAHA - On Wednesday, Oct. 1, 51ÉçÇø's classical music station, KVNO 90.7, will broadcast a special live performance from Carnegie Hall in New York City as part of the music venue's .

The event, which will air on beginning at 6 p.m., will feature performances from the led by their music director and chief conductor, Sir Simon Rattle. Violin soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter will serve as a special guest performer.

The Berlin Philharmonic will perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s last major work for the orchestra, his 1944 "Symphonic Dances," German composer Max Bruch’s "Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor" with the assistance of Mutter, and conclude with closing scenes from Igor Stravinsky’s dramatic "Firebird Suite."
